WECU promotes active giving and staff volunteerism to rally together and support needs throughout Whatcom and Skagit Counties. We know that we all do better when we work together.

Team WECU

Team WECU is a committee of WECU staff who coordinate service opportunities with community nonprofits. Each year, the team supports approximately 20 events, providing hundreds of hours of community service.

Employee Volunteerism

WECU encourages employees to share their time and talents with the causes most meaningful to them. Through the Paid Day off to Volunteer program, staff connect with local classrooms, environmental groups and food banks (among many others) to make an impact in their neighborhood.

Community Leadership

WECU promotes leadership and develops employees to be champions for change on their teams and in their local community. To recognize the service of these employees, WECU awards Servant Leadership grants to nonprofits where staff serve in a board capacity.
