BELLINGHAM (April 15, 2021) — WECU and the Bellingham Bells are excited to announce an expanded partnership which includes benefits for WECU members. WECU will prominently be featured throughout the ballpark. The Bell’s summer home will also be known as, “WECU Diamond at Joe Martin Field.”

The partnership also comes with benefits for WECU members at the ballpark, including buy one get one free tickets (up to 4 total tickets per WECU debit or credit card) for all home games throughout the Bells regular season. WECU will also sponsor a Bells baseball giveaway for the first 500 kids 12 and under on Sunday, July 17 which will kick off WECU Member Appreciation Week. Finally, Member Appreciation week will end with the second annual WECU Family Night at the Bells featuring free tickets for the first 400 member and fireworks show on Saturday, July 23.

WECU and the Bells are both committed to serving the Whatcom County community and are excited to extend this partnership beyond just marketing and branding at the ballpark. During the duration of the partnership, WECU and the Bells plan to partner on service projects in the community and combine to provide scholarships for Bells camps at Joe Martin Field.

“We are thrilled to be working with WECU on this exciting partnership,” Bells general manager Stephanie Morrell said. “WECU is a respected local brand, and we share similar values. We greatly appreciate their support and look forward to working with them on this partnership.”

“This expanded partnership with the Bells is a win all around,” said WECU Program Manager, PR & Content Keith Mader. “We’re able to support the Bells, who provide a valuable community amenity, we’re able to support the community through volunteerism and camp scholarships, and we’re able to provide discounted tickets throughout the season for WECU members. All of this made the partnership a no brainer for the Credit Union.”
