BELLINGHAM (July 13, 2021) – WECU invites its members to join in Member Appreciation Week festivities planned for the week of July 19 through 24.

“As a financial cooperative we do not have owners or shareholders, we have members. Everything we do is for our membership and this week is about celebrating them,” said Keith Mader, Program Manager PR & Content at WECU.

There are daily events planned beginning July 19 with a discount at local coffee shops for credit union members who show their debit or credit card. The week wraps up with two large events, WECU Family Night at the Bellingham Bells and Hot Air Balloons Magical Glow & Fireworks Show.

“During the WECU Family Night at the Bellingham Bells we’ll have free general admission tickets for the first 400 members who show their cards, free Dinger coin banks for the kids, and we’ll end the evening with fireworks,” said Mader.

The Hot Air Balloons Magical Glow and Fireworks Show will cap off the week and Whatcom County Old Settler Association’s 125th Old Settlers Picnic.
