BELLINGHAM (May 6, 2023) — In celebration of Teacher Appreciation Week (May 8-12), WECU invites members of the public to nominate their favorite local teacher. At the end of Teacher Appreciation Week, three teachers from those nominated will receive a $500 classroom sponsorship from WECU. The winners will be announced on May 19.
“As a credit union founded by Bellingham Teachers in 1936, educators have always been important to WECU,” Jeff Dykstra, Executive Vice President of WECU. “This contest is intended to put teachers in the spotlight for the valuable work they do.”
